Subsequently, 9ice gained admission to Lagos State University to pursue a law degree but eventually left to fully focus on his music career.

In the 1990s, 9ice initiated his music career. His first demo, “Risi de Alagbaja,” was recorded in 1996. However, it wasn’t until the year 2000 that he unveiled his debut solo single, “Little Money.”
