On February 17, 1971, Aisha Buhari was born in Adamawa State in the family of the first Minister of Defense, Mohammadu Ribadu. She was schooled in the best of Fulani traditions and cultures. She grew up with her five siblings, Zainab Umar Shinkafi, Musa Halilu Ahmed, Usman Halilu, Modi Halilu, and Hameed Halilu. Her grandfather’s name is Alhaji Muhammadu Ribadu, and while her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Halilu.

Aisha Buhari began her primary and secondary school in her hometown, Adamawa State, Nigeria. She proceeded her educational career where she went to Ambrose Alli University (AAU), she was honoured her degree in Public Administration. To smoothen her educational career, she moved further to studies her master’s degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies at the Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna, Nigeria.
