Early Life
Favour Chukwuka Ofili was born somewhere in Nigeria to a Christian Family. She started her sports career as track and field athlete at her early life after completing his primary education. Favour earned the silver medal in the 400-meter event at the 2019 African Games.
She holds the national and Under-20 records over the 200-meter distance with a time of 21.96, becoming the first female athlete from Nigeria to surpass the 22-second mark. On April 30, 2022, at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she ran 100 meters in 10.93 seconds, becoming the first female NCAA athlete to break the 11-second barrier.

Career
In her 16s, Favour Ofili represented Nigeria in the 4 x 100 m and 4 x 400m relays at the 2019 World Relays in Yokohama. She won both the 200- and 400-meter races at the 2019 African U18 and U20 Athletics Championships, earning her the title of youngest female athlete of the competition. In every event, she earned a personal best time.
She surpassed this mark at the African Games, finishing second with a personal best of 51.68 seconds to secure a ticket at the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar. At the African Games, she assisted the Nigerian team of Kemi Francis, Patience George, Blessing Oladoye, and Favour Ofili achieve a gold medal in the women’s 4 x 400 m relay. As a result, the young athlete was awarded a second medal at the senior level.
She is currently a competitor at Louisiana State University, where she previously held the NCAA collegiate record for the 200m with a time of 21.96 until Abby Steiner broke it at the NCAA Championships with a time of 21.80. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Favour Ofili earned the silver medal in the women’s 200m and the gold medal in the women’s 4 x 100m alongside Tobi Amusan, Chukwuma Rosemary, Nwokocha Nzubechi Grace, and Udo Joy Gabriel Chinenye.
